I played fats at a sporting goods store that was opening on broadway in denver colorado.I was 21 at the time just picked up the the game after I broke my leg had nothing to do so I went to the pool hall,any way he said he was the best pool player in the world! I don't know what got into me but I said"no your not cuz you haven't played me yet" well I tried to hide and he said "come here kid and will play some" He asked what game I liked and I said 8 ball ,he told me he always gambles on his game, he said I'll play you for a milkshake well I won and he gave me 50 cents and I got his autograph !! A true gentleman for him to play a kid just showed what a nice man he really was!!!! best memory I have of him "go rest high on that mt. fats" your friend Ken "the wiz" alvarez
